2007 Graduate

Jenista Clark was an athletic multi-sport athlete who participated in basketball, track, and soccer and is arguably one of the most tournament decorated athletes in school history as she participated in eight different state tournaments in those three sports. Her quickness and athleticism on the basketball floor helped the Warriors to three consecutive state tournament appearances from 2005-2007, capturing the Class 3A state championship in 2006. Jennie’s success during her track career is arguably one of the most decorated track careers in school history. Jennie owns four individual and two relay school records and was a four year state track and field qualifier in a number of events. She finished as a runner-up champion in the 400 meter dash her sophomore, junior, and senior year, as well as a runner-up finish in the 200 meter dash her senior year. She placed 3rd in the long jump while a junior and was the state champion in the long jump her senior year with a jump of 18 feet 2 ½ inches setting a state record which still stands today. But it was the game of soccer that Jennie was the most passionate about. In 2006 and 2007 she led the Warriors to consecutive state tournament appearances, advancing to the semi-finals her senior year and was selected as a member of the all-tournament team and was a 1st Team All-State selection her Junior and senior year. Her soccer career would continue with a Division I scholarship to the University of Minnesota to play for the Gophers. From 2007 to 2010 she became one of the elite players in the Big Ten Conference. In 2009 she was a 1st Team All-Big Ten Conference selection as well as All Great Lakes Region selection. Following her collegiate career she has gone on to play professionally in the United States for the Sky Blue FC as well as the New York Fury. In 2012 her professional soccer career took her to play professionally in Germany for teams in Leipzig and Freiburg.
